A bit about me…

Hey there. I'm Em, an instructional designer and enablement nerd who believes learning should never feel like a chore.

I came to instructional design through a winding, wonderfully curious path. I've recruited software developers, supported HR teams, managed enterprise SaaS accounts, and built educational programs for communities that had been locked out of tech careers. Every stop along the way taught me something new about how people learn, what makes them engage, and what makes them tune out. Somewhere in all of that, I found my calling: designing experiences that make knowledge actually stick.

These days, I build learning programs for remote, distributed teams at the intersection of creativity and strategy. I work in Articulate 360 (Rise is my happy place), Arcade, Vyond, and Docebo; and I've spent the last several years in fast-moving SaaS environments where "we need this yesterday" is just Tuesday. I've converted clunky instructor-led training into scalable eLearning, built social learning experiences that people genuinely enjoy, and developed AI-assisted workflows that get great content out the door faster without sacrificing quality.

But tools are just tools. What I actually care about is the person on the other side of the screen: the new hire who needs to feel confident on day one, the sales rep who needs to absorb a product update between calls, the partner who needs to understand a complex integration without falling asleep. I design for that person, every time.

Two values drive everything I do: stay curious and create joy. Curiosity keeps me asking why before I ever start building. Joy keeps me honest about whether what I've made is actually worth someone's time and attention.

If you're looking for an instructional designer who brings both craft and heart to the work — let's talk.
